Contribution à la conception de sources de forte puissance : applications aux tests de susceptibilité électromagnétique et à la neutralisation d’engins explosifs improvisés

Abstract : The work presented in this manuscript revolves around the design of high-power electromagnetic sources for two distinct applications : perform electromagnetic susceptibility tests on electronic equipment and remotely neutralize improvised explosive devices. For the first application, the objective is to develop a mesoband source capable of generating, in conducted mode, damped sinusoids with a center frequency between 20 and 200 MHz, a quality coefficient greater than 10, and a peak amplitude equal to 10 kV. This mesoband source is based on the use of optoelectronic generators incorporating photoconductive semiconductor switches controlled by laser pulses. For the second application, the objective is to size the antenna of an ultra-wideband source which must radiate a bipolar wave, delivered by a Marx generator, with a peak-to-peak amplitude of 500 kV. The realized ultra-wideband antenna is partially filled with a solid insulator (HDPE) in order to guard against any risk of breakdown. The design of the elements specific to each source is presented and detailed ; moreover, experimental tests were carried out, in particular for the first application, in order to compare the results obtained with the set objectives.
