SUPERCONDUCTING MOTOR WITH PERMANENT MAGNETS

Résumé
We realized a superconducting motor (Nb.Ti. at 4.2 K) with permanent magnets (Nd.Fe.B.) of 15 kW at 750 rpm. The structure adopted is that of a conventional cylindrical machine with smooth poles and no teeth at the level of the stator plates. The magnets are cooled to improve their magnetic performance. The machine is sized to withstand a sudden short circuit without transition of the superconductors. The performance of this prototype is already remarkable: the voïumic power reduced to 3000 rpm is 2 MW / m3. A pre-dimensioning of a machine of higher power, with statoric notches, was carried out and made it possible to evaluate the performances of the whole machine and refrigerator.
Nous avons réalisé un moteur supraconducteur (Nb.Ti. à 4,2 K) à aimants permanents (Nd.Fe.B.) de 15 kW à 750 tr/min. La structure retenue est celle d'une machine cylindrique classique à pôles lisses et sans dents au niveau des tôles statoriques. Les aimants sont refroidis pour améliorer leurs performances magnétiques. La machine est dimensionnée pour résister à un court-circuit brusque sans transition des supraconducteurs. Les performances de ce prototype sont déjà remarquables : la puissance voïumique ramenée à 3000 tr/min est de 2 MW/m3. Un pré-dimensionnement d'une machine de plus forte puissance, avec des encoches statoriques, a été effectué et a permis d'évaluer les performances de l'ensemble machine et réfrigérateur.
