Imagerie microonde d'objets enterrés : modélisations numériques bidimensionnelles et étude de l'extension tridimensionnelle

Abstract : In a first part, we study a method of reconstruction of permittivity and conductivity profiles, based on a bigradient conjugate method and an edge-preserving regularization technique. This method, previously developed for the case of plane-wave illumination, is enhanced in order to take into account the near-field of the emitting antennas. We examine the robustness of the algorithm by simulating the errors in the measurement of the diffracted field. The choice of various configuration parameters is studied, in order to obtain the necessary information for optimal reconstructions. In a second part, we develop a finite-difference frequency-domain method for the solution of Maxwell's equations in two and three dimensions. The grid is terminated by perfectly matched layers and the Kirchhoff integral is applied to the near- to far-field transformation. This method is suitable for use in three-dimensional imaging.
