Modélisation statistique et simulation des grandes échelles des écoulements turbulents. Application aux inverseurs de poussée.

Abstract : This thesis is concerned with the numerical simulation of door-type thrust reverser flow (turbulent compressible flow). The two methods of analysis selected for this purpose are the Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes Simulation (RANS) and the Large-Eddy Simulation (LES). First, simplified geometries are investigated:
(1) Separated turbulent jet of backward facing step (RANS simulation),
(2) Turbulent shear flow of plane mixing layer (RANS and LES simulations),
(3) Curved flows : curved rectangular duct (RANS simulation) and curved mixing layer (RANS and LES simulations). Then, two simplified configurations of thrust reversers are calculated using RANS and LES simulations.
