Réalisation d'un Intranet : Cohérence d'un Ensemble Réparti et Communicant, autour d'une Architecture Réflexive

Abstract : An intranet promotes the client-server paradigm in large companies. It concerns however hundreds of people generally not familiar with hypertext approach and technologies. Though this paradigm raises a whole new set of problems such as link permanence and consistency, existence of document models and style sheets, administration or exploitation of the intranet. RICERCAR is a reflexive system which maps the user's end objects, as its own classes, within a federation of distributed and synchronised databases, using off the shelf tools. The objects identifiers are then used to implement lasting URLs which provide for a global consistency. The system modular architecture offers an applicative interface which can be easily extended to encompass other enterprise data. The common kernel provides then for a general consistency as well as for several administration and statistical tools.
