Approche résistive pour l'évaluation des champs hydriques dans les matériaux hygroscopiques

Abstract : In an environmental context that requires perpetuating the life span of constructions, the managers of structures must be accompanied in the maintenance of existing structures. Periodic inspection and monitoring approaches are based on the development of nondestructive testing methods to have feedback, throughout the life of the structures, on key variables reflecting the mechanical and pathological state of the structures. In the field of hygroscopic building materials, the monitoring of moisture content requires the development of specific tools to identify moisture profiles in structural sections. The method studied in this thesis concerns electrical tomography. It is based on the measurement of apparent resistivity at the terminals of quadrupoles. A multiplexing allows multiplying the current lines to have a sampling covering the whole cross section. All these data are confronted with a finite element modeling of the electrical conduction in a steady state, using a numerical optimization method based on the Gauss Newton and Levenberg-Marquadt inverse methods. The material used is raw earth, which allows for fast transient water regimes. The experimental set allowed to implement and test the measurements and inversion algorithms on homogeneous and heterogeneous water fields in desorption phase. Thus, the 2D profiles allow, for a given section, to estimate the internal moisture field at any point and to propose a follow-up in time of the water profiles. Inversions on simulated moisture content fields allow to highlight the robustness of the approach before being confronted with real fields.
