De l'école d'art de Limoges aux écoles d'art françaises : étude des caractéristiques de l'enseignement artistique

Abstract : The entry into higher education of art schools under the Ministry of Culture has raised the thorny question of the scientific formalism of these establishments. These schools benefit from a recognition which is based on their evolution and the will to make known the teaching which they provide. This study proposes to situate the place of this curriculum in relation to that of general higher education in our hypermodern society. Starting from the fact that the teaching in art school is multidisciplinary, the author took the decision to base this research on a methodology borrowed from several disciplines. Thus, this work studies the evolution of teaching through the historical approach of the art school of Limoges, then analyzes the characteristics and the modes of transmission within the more general framework of art schools in France. Based on a corpus of pedagogical models of the establishments and a questionnaire and interviews collected from students of national and territorial schools, the author draws a portrait of art education. The purpose of this research is not to know if art is taught but rather to understand how it is taught.
