Contribution au développement de radars MIMO opto-microondes courte portée

Abstract : The work presented in this manuscript concerns the development of MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) imaging systems using a time-division multiplexing approach in reception. This approach, performed in the optical domain, makes it possible to acquire on a single digitization channel all the signals received simultaneously by the receiving antennas. To achieve this, an optical fiber array is connected to the receiving antennas in order to impose a gradual propagation delay to the different signals received. Once delayed, these signals are then summed by means of an original opto-RF summing device developed in the XLIM laboratory. A first demonstrator operating in C band is realized in order to validate this approach. Then, this opto-RF multiplexing concept is extended to K-band in the context of the OBIWAM project supported by the Agence National de la Recherche and by the Agence de l’Innovation de Défense.
