Abstract : Written exchanges convey strategic information whose proper management influences the activity of socio-economic agents. The industrial sector is no exception and must be able to rely on trained professionals who can communicate in clear, transparent and coherent writing. This thesis questions the modalities of writing courses given in university institutes of technology aimed at students from professional baccalaureates. The objective of the study is to analyze the writing practices of these higher education students with the aim of developing and testing a didactic system capable of developing their writing skills, in line with the needs of companies in the industrial production sector. To achieve this, we have drawn approaches and methods from the disciplinary fields of educational design, applied linguistics, cognitive sciences and social sciences. Such choices allowed us to develop a multilevel didactic system relying on objective based planning. Using an experimental protocol including differentiated tests and methods borrowed from corpus linguistics, it was possible to evaluate the effectiveness and validity of the different components of the didactic device designed. This thesis opens up new epistemological and methodological scenarios in writing instruction and linguistics applied to professional writing, while proposing a variety of innovative teaching tools.
