Étude des contraintes électromagnétiques induites par les composants SIC d'une chaîne de conversion d'énergie en vue d'une optimisation pour des applications HF.

Abstract : The significant technological advances of recent years in the field of generators based on SiC (Silicon Carbide) components make it possible to build high-power power supply applications with better performance: fast switching, high control frequency, improved thermal efficiency, much more compact integration capacities, etc. However, these new forms of power supply create at the same time, new complex problems for the system in which they are inserted, in addition to the loads which they supply. In fact, these new, faster converters cause electromagnetic contraints excitations and interactions across the entire power chain, in both conducted and radiated mode. In the case of electric motors, which represent the vast majority of the loads supplied by this type of generator, an important consequence is the increase of the partial discharge phenomena which appearing in particular on their constituent windings. These will cause premature aging of their insulating materials, which will result in destruction of these windings in the short or medium term.The studies we carried out during this thesis will make it possible to respond to this problem by relying the design and production of a power bench specifically dedicated to the aging of windings based on SiC components. This has been designed to be modular in its structure so that it can adapt to different load configurations. Also, in order to be able to detect signs of this aging, we have integrated non-invasive electromagnetic field probes into our power modules in order to observe the current excitation induced on the dielectric insulator. In order to be able to observe and process the signals coming from these probes, we have contributed on the development of acquisition chains that can be coupled to these probes. As the acquisition frequencies are quite high, we designed these acquisition chains so that they are isolated by optical fibers while having a high sampling frequency. We have also developed several scalable versions of command and control platforms so that a user can easily choose the parameters of the system during an aging campaign. This analysis approach during the aging process therefore amounts to controlling the power components with a specific operating logic but also to acquiring and storing the data from the acquisition chains. Once our aging bench assembled and operational, aging tests on two different motors were carried out in order to validate the process, and also enabled us to demonstrate that the diagnostic means that we have integrated are likely to an operational solution concerning the analysis of the evolution of the aging of a dielectric.
