Contribution expérimentale à l’étude des propriétés optiques de Al, Ni et Au/Ni

Abstract : This work is based on the use of aluminium and nickel nanoparticles in order to develop original applications using their plasmonic properties as well as magnetism and heat. Firstly we present a state of the art and theoretical basics useful to the understanding of our works. Next we expose the development of two new synthesis of aluminium nanoparticles. For the first one we use acoustical ablation followed by thermal annealing. The second is based on the chemical reduction of aluminium salts by metallic sodium. These nanoparticles exhibit optical extinction in the UV range and photoluminescence in the visible. Thirdly we present optical properties of nickel nanoparticles made by thermal annealing of thin films. Especially we discuss about a coupling effect between localized surface plasmon resonances substained by the nanoparticles and interband transition of nickel. At length, we present two coupling effects between plasmons from nanoparticles and static magnetic fields or heat. Those coupling effects induce a shift of the extinction peaks measured on bimetallic nanoparticles (gold/nickel). At the end we worked on this project in order to create new processes to fabricate metallic nanostructures. More, we exposed original optical properties of such nanoparticles. In fine we want to improve new research avenues for plasmonics, and subsequent applications and exploitation
