, Nous avons considéré ici un écoulement subsonique, hypothèse qui repose sur le fait que les mécanismes déstabilisant la surface et la transition laminaire-turbulent ont lieu à l'intérieur de la poche dans laquelle l'écoulement est subsonique. Cependant, il serait intéressant de simuler un écoulement supersonique dans les conditions réelles pour pouvoir vérifier cette hypothèse. Cela permettrait en outre de prendre en compte les effets thermiques ; en effet, la cinétique de la réaction d'oxydation dépend de la température via une loi d'Arrhénius : le matériau réagit plus dans les zones chaudes. Cela pourrait suggérer un nouvel élément concernant la stabilité de la surface et la croissance des coups de gouge

, Enfin, la méthode analytique pour déterminer la stabilité de la surface a reposé dans ce travail sur l'analyse de modes linéaires ; or on sait via le calcul numérique que le déclenchement de la transition laminaire-turbulent passe par des phénomènes non-linéaires. Il serait donc pertinent d'approfondir cette analyse par des méthodes plus complètes
