Aide à la décision pour l’automatisation de la manutention dans une unité de fabrication de semi-conducteurs

Abstract : In this thesis, we provide a decision support for an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) integration project in a legacy semiconductor manufacturing facility, called 200mm wafer fab. The work is carried out in collaboration with the company STMicroelectronics in Rousset. Since this type of manufacturing facility was not originally designed to have an automated handling, the challenge is to provide a relevant AMHS to improve flexibility and productivity. On the industrial side, given the financial and technical scale, special attention should be given to the project to ensure its success.At a strategic level, we proposed a methodology to provide the guidelines for the handling automation project. This methodology ensures an efficient and structured integration of the AMHS in the whole wafer fab. Then, we provided a decision support method to the AMHS deployment in the different workshops.In the last part of the thesis, on a tactical level, the work was directed towards the handling automation in a local vision by considering only one production workshop at a time. Hence, a methodology for developing an "optimized" and robust AMHS design in an existing and functional workshop was proposed based on a modeling and simulation approach.The research works carried-out in this thesis have been applied to the case of STMicroelectronics in Rousset.
