Etude de la lixiviation de l'aluminium de matériaux cimentaires à base de CEM III utilisés dans les canalisations d'eau potable : approche expérimentale et numérique

Abstract : High concentration of aluminum in drinking water could be hazardous for human health. This element is limited at 200 μg/L in tap water by an European directive and by the World Health Organization. Some pipes used for the drinking water distribution consist of ductile cast iron tube coated with cementitious lining made of CEM III cement mortar. The flow of water in the pipe causes leaching that can lead to the release into the drinking water of cementitious elements, including aluminum. The incorporation of blast furnace slag in this cement promotes the durability of the material with for the leaching but it also increases the aluminum content of the cement paste. The aim of this thesis is to study the leaching of aluminum from CEM III matrices and their evolution, in order to predict, using modeling, the long-term leaching of this element. Thus, numerous leaching tests were carried out on CEM III matrices and permitted to have data for the modeling carried out.
