Elaboration de matériaux piézoélectriques sans plomb pour applications ultrasonores

Abstract : This work is devoted to the study of the texturation effects on the piezoelectric properties of BaTiO3-based ceramics obtained by the Templated Grain Growth process (TGG). Textured ceramics were elaborated by tape casting of a slurry, by using the orientation of plate-like particles. This anisotropic seeds are oriented during the tape casting process and promote the grain growth in a preferential direction during sintering. Cobalt doped and undoped BaTiO3 powders were synthetized by solid-state reaction, and then characterized to obtain a particle size suitable for tape casting. BaTiO3 and Bi4Ti3O12 plate-like particles were synthetized by molten salts route using a topotactic reaction. Afterwards, slurries with and without anisotropic particles and with and without LiCO3 as sintering aid were tape casted, and then sintered. Textured ceramics were obtained when BaTiO3 platelets particles are used. Co doping and Li adding improve densification and the properties of these textured ceramics. The best obtained result corresponds to d33 = 176pC/N and a Kt = 27%.
