, Dans la première partie, nous présentons plus en détail la caustique de la voie top-hat de DERIC (dont une représentation est donnée en Figure 2-21 au deuxième chapitre) et mettons en avant les fortes disparités de répartition d'énergie entre les différents profils spatiaux en jeu

, plusieurs acquisitions (réalisées grâce à une caméra numérique de la marque Basler, modèle avA1600) du profil spatial du faisceau se propageant le long de l'axe optique de la voie top-hat de DERIC après avoir traversé la lentille de focalisation. En sortie de source laser, le faisceau est spatialement gaussien ; son passage à travers une lame de phase (située avant la lentille, voir Figure 2-1) modifie son profil spatial, ce dernier ne cessant ensuite d'évoluer au cours de sa propagation, caustique détaillée de la voie top-hat de DERIC Sont données ci-après en Figure A5-1

, Ces profils spatiaux très diversifiés sont aussi caractérisés par des niveaux d'intensités (ou fluences) très différents comme le montre la Figure A5-2. La fluence locale maximale reste relativement faible dans la zone « matrice » située entre la lentille et le faisceau top-hat avant d'augmenter très nettement dans la zone « étoile ». Laser-de-puissance, and P. , Cette thèse s'attache à étudier en particulier la dépendance temporelle de ce phénomène pour ces miroirs en régime sub-picoseconde et picoseconde en s'appuyant sur le banc d'endommagement laser DERIC fonctionnant dans ce régime temporel. Nous traitons ainsi des cas de l'endommagement laser intrinsèque, de l'endommagement laser sur défauts et de la croissance des dommages lasers. En confrontant expériences et simulations, nous montrons que la dépendance temporelle de l'endommagement intrinsèque ne s'explique non pas à l'aide de la durée d'impulsion seule mais à partir de tout le profil temporel d'intensité de l'impulsion. Ceci a notamment des conséquences importantes sur le concept de loi d'échelle temporelle du seuil d'endommagement, Introduction to Fourier Optics, 1968.

, Sur cette base et en tenant compte des fortes modulations du champ électrique causées par un nodule dans un miroir diélectrique, nous apportons ensuite des éléments de réponse pour expliquer la dépendance temporelle de l'endommagement sur défauts. Enfin, pour la croissance des dommages, nous plaçons l'étude de la dépendance temporelle au coeur d'une étude paramétrique expérimentale et numérique à partir de laquelle nous proposons une loi empirique de croissance qui prend notamment en compte la fluence d'irradiation, la durée d'impulsion
