, The culture medium was changed twice a week and the cultures were maintained in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO2 at 37°C. When cells reached 80%-90% confluence (passage 0 [P0]), they were detached using trypsin/EDTA (PAA, Pasching, Austria) and trypan blue was used to count viable cells. MSC samples were replated in culture at a density of 1000 MSC/cm2 until passage 1, [P1]. Cell samples were used to confirm the hBM-MSC phenotype as previously described (16). Cell samples are cryopreserved in DMSO10%, The medium was supplemented with 0.5% Ciprofloxacin
