, Using the TR index, planktivores remained the most responsive group; however benthivores dropped substantially, from second to fourth, while benthopiscivores rose from fourth to second (Figure 4). Carcinophages also rose from fifth to third, while piscivores dropped to last. Thus, when considering speciesspecific responses, benthopiscivores were much more responsive to long-term environmental changes in the Southern North Sea than benthivores, followed closely by benthivores, with piscivores, benthopiscivores, and lastly carcinophages having lower contributions (Figure 4)
