The Holocene Mammals of the prehistoric deposits of Gueldaman-Akbou (Bedjaia), Columnata (Tiaret) and Ti-n Hanakaten (Djanet) in Algeria

Résumé
The morphometric and comparative study of the whole fauna of the three Holocene deposits of Algeria, specifies the anatomical characters of the species, in particular for Pelorovis antiquus and Bos ibericus. It highlights the presence of two equidae at Columnata - Equus melkiensis and Equus algericus - and attests to the kinship of the genera Bison, Pelorovis and Syncerus. The species Bos primigenius recognized in Columnata and Gueldaman-Akbou, is distinguished from Bos opisthonomus while Bos ibericus is a Bos taurus brachyceros. Finally, Alcelaphus probubalis is an affine form of Alcelaphus buselaphus. The evolution of the fauna in the three deposits in the Neolithic period results in a difference in the percentages of the species present.
L'étude morphométrique et comparative de l'ensemble de la faune des trois gisements holocènes d'Algérie, précise les caractères anatomiques des espèces, notamment pour Pelorovis antiquus et Bos ibericus. Elle met en évidence la présence de deux équidés à Columnata - Equus melkiensis et Equus algericus - et atteste de la parenté des genres Bison, Pelorovis et Syncerus. L'espèce Bos primigenius reconnue à Columnata et à Gueldaman-Akbou, se distingue de Bos opisthonomus tandis que Bos ibericus se révèle un Bos taurus brachyceros. Enfin, Alcelaphus probubalis est une forme affine d'Alcelaphus buselaphus. L'évolution de la faune dans les trois gisements, au Néolithique, se traduit par une différence dans les taux des pourcentages des espèces présentes.
