Abstract : The improve of waste products is going to be more and more worrying especially plastic waste. The existing techniques are generaly expensive and plastic waste need to be prepared. However, because of rising urbanization, the Authorities are tend to build on diflicult areas. Plastbloc is a process of low weight embankments using compressed plastic waste blocks. It allows peoples to solve the problems of compressive soillightening and is able to use up great quantities of waste. We present here sorne full scale and laboratory studies. An instrumented embankment was build uponwhich settlings and active pressure were supervise during time. Laboratory studies was concerned with primarly the interface behavior : block against block, block against soil and shear of a block. This result in a design method being produced. The second study deals with the behavior of material under sirnulated cyclical heavy traflic loads , and shows the importance of the initial block density at the begining of the cyclical loading.
