, Cette étude a permis de montrer que le tangage et la vitesse du vent sont les principaux paramètres caractéristiques de l'apparition des bulles sous la coque. La vitesse du vent est le paramètre le plus fortement corrélé avec la détection des bulles. Une vitesse de vent critique a été définie

, La modification de forme permet d'observer au bassin une diminution conséquente de la fréquence et de l'intensité de l'entraînement d'air. , Les premiers essais qui ont été réalisés avec la maquette du Pourquoi pas ? dans le bassin de circulation sont les mesures de résistance à l'avancement. L'objectif principal étant de comparer les valeurs obtenues avec des données provenant d'essais en bassin de traction

, Une illustration de ces essais est présentée sur la figure A.1. Lors de cette campagne d'essais, une maquette à une échelle de 1/16,68 (soit une longueur entre perpendiculaires de 5,63 m) a été utilisée. Durant les essais classiques de résistance à l'avancement, la maquette est tractée par une plate-forme mais libre en pilonnement et en tangage. Des bandes de rugosité sont installées à l'étrave afin de simuler la
