Abstract : The RANS one-closure equation is tested with a new formulation of the turbulent mixing length. By interpolation, the law is universal. It also take account of any roughness of the ground. The existence of solution of the RANS model is also proven and bring a new proof of elliptic problem with source term in L¹. We use the model under location uncertainty to derive a velocity profile in the whole boundary layer. An expression of the small-scale velocity component is also provided in the viscous zone.
