Figures de l’impudeur : dire, écrire, jouer l'intime (1970-2016)

Abstract : This dissertation offers, in a pluridisciplinary perspective and through analysis of different artists visions and postures (authors Christine Angot, Guillaume Dustan, Hervé Guibert, Emma Santos; performance artists Angelica Liddell, Jonathan Capdevielle, Laurence Vielle, Zouc, Marina Abramovic, Romeo Castelluci, Rebecca Chaillon, Fabrice Luchini ; directors Jonathan Caouette, Xavier Dolan; Yann Berlier; the rapper Diam's ; non-professional authors of fanfiction writing that is based on Hermione Granger's character), to contemplate shamelessness not as a moral issue but as an aesthetic category. In exploring those artistic approaches autobiographical project, this dissertation aims to understand how this project is relentlessly  exasperated, infuriated by a "something else" that exceeds it, that the reader/spectator does perceive but finds him/herself unable to define, and that takes the form of an awkwardness which demands to be characterized.
