From the visible to the readable?$esemiotic and linguistic approach of the Rorschach-text as an aid to differential diagnosis
Du visible au lisible : essai d'application sémiotique et linguistique sur le texte-Rorschach dans une perspective diagnostique différentielle

After a comparison of the two other methods available for analysis, very different in their conception and their methodology - Exner's Integrated System, and the Lausanne Group's Psychodynamic Analysis of Discourse -, the author presents her own method. This is directly inspired by enunciative linguistics, placing the idea of rhetorical subjectivity at the heart of the model. The Rorschach text is considered as a "form-meaning" : stylistic properties of the text elicited from the subject during the test provide information about his underlying psychic structure. This method combines a STYLISTIC approach, permitting analysis of the spoken material by considering usage of rhetorical figures at work in the elicited text, and a PRAGMATIC approach, permitting analysis of the modalities that mark out the act of enunciation, in other words, of the place occupied by the speaker and that attributed to the listener (shifter analysis). This integrative and structural approach can be applied in two domains : schizophrenia and perversion.
Après une étude comparative de deux autres méthodes d'analyse très contrastées dans l'esprit et la démarche méthodologique - le Système Intégré d'Exner et l'analyse psychodynamique du discours du Groupe de Lausanne -, l'auteur développe sa propre méthode. Celle-ci est inspirée directement de la linguistique énonciative qui place la notion de subjectivité rhétorique au coeur de son modèle. Le texte-Rorschach est considéré comme une "forme-sens" : la stylistique du texte produit par le locuteur testé nous renseigne sur la nature de son organisation psychique sous-jacente. Cette méthode combine une approche STYLISTIQUE qui permettra l'analyse du tissu discursif dans l'usage des figures de rhétorique à l'oeuvre dans le texte produit et une approche PRAGMATIQUE qui permettra l'analyse des modalités quadrillant l'acte d'énonciation, à savoir la place occupée par le locuteur et celle attribuée au destinataire (analyse des shifters). Les deux champs d'application de cette méthode linguistique énonciative et structurale sont la schizophrénie et la perversion.
