Etude des interactions de molécules hôtes dans des zéolithes synthétiques par diffraction des rayons X à haute résolution

Abstract : Zeolites are crystalline solids characterised by channels which are able to accommodate small ions and molecules. These materials have thus numerous applications, as molecular separation, catalysis, ionic exchange, and more recently are used as matrices for new composite materials. In this work, we were interested by the characterisation of interactions in the MFI, AFI and AlPO4-15 molecular sieves through single crystal high resolution X-ray diffraction.
The single crystals required for this study were grown at the laboratory by hydrothermal syntheses. Charge density and topological analysis of AlPO4-15 were performed to underline the host / guest interactions in this material and used to model the electrostatic properties which were also compared to calorimetric data. The study of the MFI zeolite allowed us to locate the fluorine counter ion which is linked to a silicon atom of the framework.
