. Au-cours-de-ma-thèse, SIDA et des hépatites virales : AIDES. Comme pour les pompiers, nous utilisons le terme de "volontaire" plutôt que celui de "bénévole". Cette association, créée par Daniel Defert en 1984, a participé entre autre, à la création des lignes d'écoute téléphonique pour soutenir les personnes séro-concernées (déléguées désormais principalement à Sida Info Service (SIS)) ainsi que la création de l'université des jeunes chercheurs (UJC, désormais maintenue difficilement par le Sidaction) Cette université est une formation intensive et enrichissante d'excellence qui a lieu tous les deux ans et dont les jeunes chercheurs francophones peuvent jouir et bénéficier. Il s'agit notament de cours de la part des ténors francophones de la recherche sur le VIH/SIDA. Via AIDES, j'ai eu une faible activité au sein du COREVIH (un comité régional de lutte contre le VIH/SIDA et d'autres agents infectieux) J'ai par exemple participé à l'établissement de tests diagnostiques d'infections sexuellement transmissibles
