Logiciels pouvant impliquer des activités mathématiques à l'école élémentaire : typologie et enjeux didactiques.

Abstract : The purpose of this work is a contribution to the researchs about informatics as a tool for mathematical teaching and learning at elementary school. the methodology is based upon two hypothese : - the communication with the microcomputer is a specific element which could possibly viewed as a didactical variable ; - the kind of content and the kind of communication proposed by a software are interdependant. The part I of the research is concerned by an "a priori" analysis of softwares -as first step of evaluation- from two points of view : content and communication. two framesare defined for a rational objective analysis of all types of softwares (applications and languages) ; they allow to express didactical stakes. The criteria give rise to a typology. in the part ii hypotheses are defined devoted to the didactical stakes in softwares s use ; they are based upon the results of part i and upon observations of classroom situations. a specific attention is payed to the communications as a didactival variable. the content of the study are : the tasks concerning communication and the content of activity, the transposition of mathematical concepts through softwares and the specificities of softwares for mathematical teaching. The author looks at the possibility to use the informatical frame as a new frame for expressing mathematical concepts. a trend of analysis for building softwares (for that purpose is briefly presendted. the point of view choosen at the beginning of this work of analysing all kinds of softwares and to pay attention to the communication is now validated by the evolution of softwares and of social discurse. the results can be extended to other levels of teaching and - for a lot of points - to other fields as mathematics.
