L’imitation socioconstructiviste au service de l’efficience palpatoire des étudiants masseurs-kinésithérapeutes : émergence d’une habileté massothérapique dans la prise en charge de la fibromyalgie

Abstract : The physiotherapy students who have completed the gestural touch therapy jurisdiction nevertheless present difficulties when starting and palpation palpation of a precise and deep anatomical element. These deficiencies generate a realization palpatoire outside the boundaries of the genre art upon the therapeutic palpation of the greater trochanter (start) and the piriformis muscle (accurate and profound element). From these preliminary results statistically significant, we question that the students put in place to achieve their palpation; understand and measure their practice when learning palpatory touch therapy is the subject of our research. Videographic sequences of simple and cross autoconfrontations helped bring out palpatoire style heterogeneities in contradiction with the recommendations of the professional literature. Indeed, when the practice is in line with the recommendations of the literature, the sensors do not use little or autoévaluative posture. Conversely, when they seem to be in trouble palpation, they over-use this autoévaluative strategy, which is a relevant indicator of non-appropriation of the authorized body language. We have not established a link between the use of theoretical knowledge and practical achievements. These preliminary results led us to compare a social constructivist educational device using the interactive imitation modeling model Winnykamen (1990) versus normally used in a IFMK pedagogy. The use of haptic six palpatory procedures Lederman (1987) quantifies the gestural skills used by students during a palpation prescription. This single-center randomized experimental study between two groups of students (n = 124) undergraduate physiotherapy is spread over three years (2010-2013) and took place over nineteen (19) weeks of training. The results show a statistically significant effect in favor of the use of the six palpatory procedures for students in the experimental group (group that received social constructivist learning), whatever the genre and theoretical marks upstream of this device. Only the lateral friction haptic authorized does not show statistically significant differences, which corroborates the results of the preliminary investigation. We can respond positively to our original problem: an educational device type interactive imitation modeling within an asymmetric dyad allows students to undergraduate studies in physiotherapy to gain palpatory efficiency. This first statistical result for the use of haptic deep maneuvers must be able to influence the practice of therapeutic analgesic massage. Perspective, we propose, in partnership with the Rheumatology Department of Nice University Hospital, an experimental drug on non support fibromyalgia patients. We hypothesize that the use of haptic deep maneuvers during the massage brings out a therapeutic efficiency regarding chronic pain of fibromyalgia.
