Contribution à la conception d'interfaces de consultation de bases de données iconographiques

Abstract : Iconographic databases conceived by scholars and research centers are precious but highly specialized working tools. These resources have long been reserved to expert uses but the development of the Internet is seen as a good way to open their access to "anyone". This thesis analyses how new publics do with resources conceived and seen from the specialists point of view. Databases are studied from three points of view: as scientific tools ; as technical artifacts; as medias and communication tools. This composite approach moves the scientific question from mere technical adjustments to theoretical and ethical questions regarding global access to commons.
