Abstract : This work is a contribution to development of analysis methodologies and modeling of distributed coupling in integrated technologies. The proposed analysis methodologies, formulated by eigen-state representation of the modeled system, are validated by application to multi-resonator systems. The analysis of these multi-resonator filters, built with the BCB technologies of the LAAS (CNRS), PICS of NXP Semiconductors and Epoxy from ISAE, shows the importance to include, in the electrical modeling, topologies and environmental effects in the conventional synthesis approach. By understanding and parameterizing of the laws which define the frequency separation of system eigenstates, in accordance with considered topologies, the analysis methodology proposed in this work gives the basis of the systematization of selective structure synthesis, in the context where losses have to be considered as a design constraint. The analysis of the electromagnetic fields associated to the eigen-state of the system, allows a physical comprehension of the frequential behavior of the system to model. The conception of filtering structures, combining symmetry considerations to eigen-state formulation has led to high selectivity performance and interesting out of band rejections, which makes low-cost technologies attractive for selective systems. The developed approach, by helping to qualify the emerging technologies performance and by elaborating the performance indicators has led to lay out the ground rules for parametric optimizations.
