Modification de l'émission d'un nanocristal semi-conducteur individuel de CdSe-CdS à l'aide de nanostructures métalliques

Abstract : Semiconductor nanocrystals are nanoscale objects exhibiting quantified energy levels. Due to their fluorescence properties, they find applications in fields as wide as biology, optoelectronics or quantum optics. For all of these applications, controlling their emission properties is a key point. In that frame, after a fine study of their emission properties at cryogenic temperature, we focused on their coupling to the plasmons of disordered gold films. We showed the ability to effectively suppress the intensity fluctuations of the emission, drastically increase the photon emission process and create bi-excitonic cascades.
