Abstract : In this work we have been interested in the chemical exchange and mass transfer between minerals and aqueous fluids during a process which associates chemical reactions and transport. Our application concerns skarns type rocks composed of garnet or pyroxene minerals. First we set the problem in its thermodynamical context and we present a solution model for each phase. Second, we present three methods for deriving the isotherm function (from the writing of chemical potentials equality for the components in the fluid and in the solid phases or using equilibrium or exchange constants). The transport model has been obtained by expressing an isovolumic mass balance or by restricting to a mass balance within the fluid phase. Using some simplifications bearing on rock struture, hydrogeological parameters and the local equilibrium hypothesis, we obtain an hyperbolic system of 'chromatographic' type. At high temperatures, the isotherm can be expressed in the form of Langmuir isotherm. The mathematical study of the model with one component allows us to find back the thermodynamical stability condition of the system and to highlight the conditions allowing the simplification of the chromatographic model for many components. In the numerical part of this work we aimed to test the influence of thermodynamical parameters on the system stability and on the transformation process and to validate the model by a comparison to geological observations on diverse test cases.
