Analyse de composés organiques volatils prélevés en milieu humide : développement d'une méthode d'élimination de l'humidité des échantillons

Abstract : Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are pollutants which analytical techniques to measure them are disrupted by humidity. Two approaches to remove humidity from VOC samples were investigated. Firstly, the removal of humidity by diffusion through walls of sampling bags which are made of polymer film, method named sample water removal. Tedlar and Nalophan sampling bags were placed into a chamber flushed with a dry air stream, their 10 L humid samples were dried, respectively in 7 h and 3.5 h. No significant VOC loss was involved by this method at 500 ppbv in using Tedlar bags and at 10 µg/m3 in using Nalophan bags. Secondly, new hydrophobic adsorbents made of carbon nanostructures produced in our laboratory were tested. The collection of humid VOC samples with such cartridges at 500 ppbv was not satisfactory.
