La ville résiliente aux inondations Méthodes et outils d'évaluation

Abstract : I have a PhD in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) entitled "River levee performance assessment. Criteria design in a Geographic Information", defended in 2005 and obtained with the higher distinction. These three years of research have been lead at the Cemagref laboratory, in the department "Hydraulic Infrastructures and Hydrology" and have been followed by a one year Postdoctoral position to validate the methods developed during the PhD. A six months experience in HR Wallingford Flood Group Team, UK, allowed me to complete my experience and knowledge in term of flood risk management and of built environment flood risk issues. I have been for five years employed by EIVP (Ecole des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris) as manager of the building teaching department. I'm managing a set of 40 professors, I'm developing research activities and I'm the scientific coordinator of one of the two EIVP research thematic: "Risk and Urban Resilience". In this thematic I'm managing six research projects. The main aims of my researches is to design methodologies and tools able, from the resilience concept, to assess and produce the resilient city facing different type of risks and to participate in it to the sustainable city design. These projects are i. FloodResilienCity (EU, Interreg IVb), ii. FloodProBE (EU FP7), iii. RESILIS (ANR Ville Durable 2009) iiii. "Paris résiliente" (Paris 2030) and Joaquin (EU, Interreg IVb). I'm the coordinator of "Paris résiliente" and I've been named, in RESILIS, the scientific coordinator due to my involvement. My scientific object has become step by step the built environment, and due to my background, I'm leading a multi disciplinary research, gathering sciences coming from urban engineering, civil engineering, geography, architecture and urban planning to produce spatial decision methods and tools. I have been involved in 2010 in two urban application forms because of my multi angle view of cities and my scientific approaches to model the built environment as a system of systems.
