L'évolution morphologique de la plaine du Forez au Pliocène et au Quaternaire.

Abstract : This work is divided into 5 chapters. The first evokes the geological history of the plain at the time tertiary sector, before Pliocene. After having presented the difficulties to establish a precise stratigraphy of the deposits because of the scarcity of the paleontological data and the variety of the facies, the author wonders about the methods of tectonics to the course and at the conclusion of sedimentation. The second chapter relates on the current context of morphogenesis and its principal agent: the dynamics of the waterways, the Loire mainly. The chapters three and four are interested in the conditions of the deposit of the system of alluvial terraces during glacial periods of Quaternary (chapter 4) after having analyzed the processes of colluvial deposition and pedogenesis which contributed to deteriorate the forms of them (chapter 3). Finally the final chapter examines façonnement relief by the diffuse streaming.
