Le Lecteur d'Afriques - Contribution à une didactique transculturelle de la lecture littéraire

Abstract : In a postcolonial and globalized context, this research attempts to provide new insight into the didactics of literary reading in French as a foreign and second language and as a mother tongue. Starting from a critical review of the notions of culture and identity, the first part examines the frontiers, routes and crossings of French-language literature - mainly African - and then explores the cross-cultural dynamics of contemporary African writing. The second part investigates the effects of these dynamics within a didactic framework and challenges the intercultural approach, proposing strategies based on cross-cultural processes accomplished through reading. The third part offers detailed examples of systems that place the process of reader identity negotiation and intersubjective accommodation at the core of the didactic approach.
