Abstract : Controlling premature cracking cannot be guaranteed without forecasting of shrinkage at early age. These plastic deformations need to be controlled by using a curing. This research program presents an experimental study of the bahviour of concrete at very ealy-age. Three concretes with the same paste, the same G/S ratio and the same workability byt different Weff/c ratios have been studied. The tests were conducted in a ventilated tunnel to impose a uniform airflow during the test, while maintaining a constant temperature and humidity. Tests showed that wihtout curing, the concrete cracked (before setting) and second is the use of different methods of curing was used to study the influence of curing and druying on plastic deformation of the material. The Results show firstly that the material behavior of concrete at early age, following drying conditions: a first area in which the deformations are important and concrete is close to saturation, followed by a seond area that results in low distortion and a lower degree of saturation. These results are similar to those observed for the fine soils subjected to drying.
