Développement, validation et applications d'un système de mesure des propriétés hygroscopiques des particules atmosphériques type VH-TDMA

Abstract : This work focuses on the development and application of the technique of "Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer" (TDMA) to study, by size class, the submicron aerosol and its physicochemical properties (ie volatility and hygroscopicity). First, we conducted the optimization and implementation of a DMA LaMP. Then, the new design of Volatility VTDMA-(6-V-TDMA) and experience has enabled us to develop and build a new system combining the conditioning temperature and humidity of the aerosol particles, the "Volatility hygroscopic-TDMA-"(VH-TDMA), to measure the change of hygroscopicity of the particles when the volatile compounds are removed by thermal process. Based on the results of synthetic aerosol particles, the next step of our work was to apply VH-TDMA technique to study the hygroscopic properties of natural particles and heat desorbed in different environments. We have shown in our study that a low heating atmospheric aerosol particles can lead to significant changes of magnification hygroscopic.
