Etude du comportement électromagnétique des structures pédologiques complexes pour la télédétection micro-ondes spatiale passive et active.

Abstract : This publication presents the research that I carried out over recent years about the study of complex soil structures for active and passsive microwave remote sensing. The skills and resources of the CEMT team are useful to achieve very precise analyzes that improve our knowledge of the electromagnetic behaviour of complex soil structures. My expertise is applied mainly in the context of space research projects (development and validation of algorithms for data processing). My research deals with the modeling and the simulation of electromagnetic phenomena in active and passive remote sensing context. The objective is to calculate the bi-static coefficient or the emissivity of complex geological structures and soil. This research is conducted in conjunction with experimental measurements of dielectric constants of soil in extreme conditions (in terms of temperature, humidity, or salinity of heterogeneity). The application of these researchs is the analysis and identification of radar or radiometric signature of structures such as permafrosts.
