Génération de peignes de longueurs d'ondes à haut débit pour les télécommunications optiques.

Abstract : This work deals with the generation of a wavelength comb for high-bit rate telecommunication systems. This thesis is decomposed in three parts. In the first part, passively mode-locked laser cavities are studied and the experiments have allowed a multi-pulse stream at high speed to be generated. In the second part, we show the possibility to generate high speed clock (100 GHz-1 THz) by exploiting the good properties of the quantum dots mode-locked lasers by adding filters. The frequency selection was made, at the beginning of the thesis, by the application of temperature points induced phase shift on a chirped fibre Bragg grating, then by using a spatial filtering using a commercial device. The stability of optical clocks, frequency variable up to 1.5 THz, was confirmed with bit error rate measurement. Finally, we show the possibility to achieve frequency converters allow to recover a sub-harmonic f clock from a binary signal clocked at N timesf. In conclusion, we draw the perspectives related to these results.
