Réalité augmentée pour l'aide à la navigation. SIGMA : Système d'information Géographique Maritime Augmentée

Abstract : This thesis was therefore situated at the crossroads of several fields such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, geographic information systems, software engineering, image pro- cessing and human and social sciences. The first section of this thesis concerns contributions relating to improving knowledge in the field of augmented reality based on a user centred approach. We then propose, based on our definitions and work on virtual reality, our model of interaction and immersion in augmented reality known as 3i2RA. In the following section we describe the issue linked to using a computer assisted navigation system with a state of the art specific to geographical information systems. In this chapter we present geographical information systems and more particularly those aimed at sailing. The third section presents our methodological contributions regarding the design of a computer assisted navigation tool. The aim is to provide a method enabling the modelling of sailors' activities to be interfaced with an agile software development method. The final section presents the technological contributions we implemented so as to create the requested functionalities.
