Nouvelles possibilités de création intrinsèques à la technologie d'impression numérique textile à jet d'encre

Abstract : Contrary to the graphics industry that very quickly adopted the digital inkjet printing, the textile industry is very reticent to move into this new technology. Nevertheless, this printing process offers many opportunities for innovation in the fields of design and production. There are three main objectives to this study. The first is to focus on the creative potential of this technology and to explain the changes of textile design thereby induced. The second is to present the new production methods and to compare them to the current limitations of conventional screen printing. These methods will be able to inspire new dynamics in the textile printing industry. The third objective is to expose the environmental factors that will become more and more important in the future economy. The combination of these elements will provide a global and modern picture of the different aspects of textile inkjet printing.
