Enseignement - apprentissage du français au sud du Liban : didactique contextualisée et intégration dans une dynamique culturelle francophone ?

Abstract : We cannot teach a foreign language by the same way as we teach the first language. Moreover, when we teach a foreign language, in a multicultural and a multilingual context, we cannot use the same methods as we use for teaching a language in a context where an only culture et language dominates. The results are not the same when we teach a language to a foreign audience and to an autochthon audience. Therefore, any research on language learning, as well as any function of education must accentuate the sociocultural context. Taking into account some specific contexts and particularities is very important in order to teach, to learn, to validate the knowledge and to communicate. In this research, the Lebanese context is examined about some issues of contextualization of the methodological choices and practices in teaching to French classes and their integration into a francophone cultural dynamics. We search exploring the cultures of French classes through semi-structured interviews and written questionnaires conducted among teachers and learners of French in public high schools in southern Lebanon. On the one hand, some results help us to answer some questions of this study on the macro-context and their possible effects on teaching situations. And on the other hand, some results help us to find some useful methods, adapted to the contemporary Lebanese society, in order to teach the French
