Modélisation et conception optimale de moteurs sans balais à structure inversée - Application au moteur-roue

Abstract : For 15 years, the electric vehicle is again an important issue in the field of electrical engineering. The goal now is to design real cars taking part of the interest of electric energy management flexibility. In this regard, we are interested in motor-wheel because it has several advantages, in particular the compactness of motor function. But to design such a system requires to satisfy many constraints. Among them, we must model the whole system and realize a compromise between the motor mass and the performances to maximize the autonomy of the system. The structure of motor-wheel used in this work is a permanent magnet synchronous motor with Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets, with outer rotor, with trapezoidal electromotive forces and fed by an voltage source inverter providing 120° rectangular currents, because this structure has not only a high specific torque but also a good efficiency. To design this system, we proposed an original and effective procedure with two steps: - Optimization of the structure on the basis of analytical models; - Validation of the optimal design with 2D finite element analyses. The overall approach (battery, inverter and motor) requires analytical and numerical models in the three physical fields: magnetic, electromechanical and thermal fields. The optimization procedure uses the Pascosma software, developed by the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering of Grenoble, to automatically program a design tool for in-wheel motors. The models were validated on both existing 30 kW and 200 W brushless motors and the methodology design enabled to optimize an in-wheel motor for bycycle reducing the motor wieght with a factor of 50% and increasing the efficiency of 3%. yield three points.
