Sédimentologie des formations détritiques du Néogène du plateau de Chambaran ( Bas-Dauphiné, France)

Abstract : The Chambaran Plateau (Lower-Dauphiné) is chiefly made of detrital formations (sands, sandstones, and conglomerates of ages ranging from Helvetian to Upper Pliocene). Their sedimentological study has made it possible : · to solve the problem of the differenciation of the various conglomerates (Miocene, Infrapliocene, Upper Pliocene, and Chambaran conglomerates), · to solve the problem of the differenciation of the various Miocene and the Upper Pliocene sands and sandstones, · to suggest a paleogeographie reconstitution of the Chambaran Plateau and to retrace its history.
