Analyse et modélisation du fonctionnement biophysique et décisionnel d'un système prairial irrigué - Application aux prairies plurispécifiques de Crau en vue de l'élaboration d'un Outil d'Aide à la Décision -

Abstract : This work aimed at analysing and modelling the biophysical functioning and management of an irrigated grassland system. It is applied to a plurispecific grassland system irrigated by border system. The cropping system is composed of a biophysical sub-system (soil-plant- front of irrigation water) and a technical sub-system under the influence of a decisional system. The systemic approach at field scale helped at structuring the biophysical system into compartments in interaction. This approach lets to structure the experiments and the numerical modelling. We showed that the plurispecific grasslands are sensitive to moderate water deficit in term of quantity and quality of hay. Irrigation can be scheduled based on the matric potential and the Fraction of Total Transpirable Soil Water. The simulation of the crop functioning is based on a crop model designed to use function-fluxes approach and functional traits approach. The wind and plurispecificity effects on yield have been integrated. The modelisation of water advance trajectory during irrigation is realised with a predictive infiltration solution. Adapting the concept of “model for action” to border irrigation and grasslands, a conceptual model of decisions is built from the results of a survey on the functioning of production system. The coupling of these three models is going to complete this work in order to elaborate a decision tool for conceiving cropping system more efficient in term of water use.
