Localisation de défaut dans les lignes de transmission d'énergie

Abstract : This thesis describes some new fault location algorithms for power transmission lines. Thèse algorithms are based on a distributed parameter line model, which inherently accounts for shunt capacitance and distributed nature of line losses. In some parts of this thesis the frequency dependence of the line parameters is taken into considération and a new fault location algorithm is proposed according to such a model of line. Recently, some research efforts hâve been focused on fault location techniques in the séries compensated transmission lines. In this thesis a new and accurate fault location algorithm for such Systems is proposed. The algorithm makes use of two subroutines for estimation of the fault distance - one for fault behind of séries capacitor and another one for faults in front of the séries capacitor. Then a spécial procédure to sélect the correct solution is utilized. Samples of voltages and currents at both ends of the line are taken synchronously and used to calculate location of the fault. The accuracy of proposed algorithms is not significantly affected by fault résistance and fault inception angle and does not require any knowledge of source impédances. Application of fuzzy inference Systems to fault location problem is the last part of this thesis. The results of computer simulations confirm that the fuzzy logic approach can be used as an alternative and efficient means for accurate locating faults on transmission lines.
