Apports du chaos et des estimateurs d'états pour la transmission sécurisée de l'information

Abstract : The use of chaotic systems for the digital communications security is the main goal of this work. Chaotic synchronization procedure has been firstly achieved by state estimation methods with the main contribution of a new nonlinear Kalman filter introduction. The performances are evaluated with respect to multiple criterias (MSE, stability, consistency), and through comparisons with other Kalman filters (EKF, UKF). The second part of our work is devoted to chaotic receivers design, considering a direct sequence approach. The chaotic synchronized receivers are using a baseband processing of the received signal by dual estimation. In the case of some more difficult channels, as it is the case of underwater acoustic transmissions, the synchronization is achieved by classical methods (delay-locked loop). Following this approach we use further a new solution, which estimates the whole energetic propagation paths present at the receiver input. This scheme is obtained with the observation equation expansion in a manner where the channel coefficients are wheighted by the autocorrelation matrix. Two receiver versions are considered for short and long spreading sequences, respectively. The last part of the document is dedicated to the presentation of a new compression method, that uses chaotic symbolic dynamics; this allows the coding of some informational sequence in a form of an initial conditions interval.
