Mesure du frottement aérodynamique à l'aide d'un revêtement luminescent

Abstract : The present study is devoted to shear stress measurements by means of the Pressure Sensitive Paint (PSP) optical degradation. This degradation is the consequence of the diffusivity of a PSP component through the interface between PSP and the flow. A model is proposed, which is based on this principle. It is tested experimentally by considering the case of an axisymetric subsonic air jet impinging on a flat plate. Mean and turbulent flows are characterized by laser velocimetry techniques (PIV and LDV). Those techniques are subsequently adapted to sub layer velocity measurement, in order to deduce wall shear stress. PSP degradation is measured in this flow. The confrontation of those results does not allow the validation of the technique or the degradation model. The process responsible for degradation may be linked to wall pressure or velocity fluctuations.
