Matériaux hybrides fonctionnels photoactifs: Stratégie d'élaboration, caractérisation et activité

Abstract : Synthesis and characterization of two types of hybrid materials (monoliths and films) including photosensitizers molecules, obtained by sol-gel synthesis, are described. Porosimetric analysis of the monoliths revealed differences between the materials depending on the synthesis conditions and on the sensitizer inserted. Generally high specific surfaces are obtained (above 500 m2 g-1), allowing these materials to be used for reactions at the solid/gas interface. Ellipsoporosimetry of the films revealed a perfect meso-organisation. Spectroscopic analysis of the prepared materials allows not only to emphasize the presence of agregated molecules, but also to control the grafting of the sensitizer and its stability with time. Photo-activity of the materials was studied through the photo-oxidation of nauseous compounds (sulfides) at the gas/solid interface using oxygen and natural or artificial light. The prepared materials are compared depending on the sensitizer used, the matrix and on the nature of the sensitizer-matrix link. Singlet oxygen formation was shown under visible light, with formation of sulfone and sulfoxide as main products.
